I'm not one to get jealous, and I don't like being jealous. Yet somehow, I can't fight it. All of my friends' love lives are magically taking take off, while mine is just landing, or simply stranded. (I notice some airplane talk here - I think I've been too caught up in Pan Am!)
I am really happy for them. I really am, and every one of them seem to have either finally found a decent guy or just hit jack pot on their first try. Me? No jack pot here, and the finally still hasn't arrived. It's the same old same old: Asshole after asshole, let down after let down, one unavailable after another...
The only romance I am experiencing is that from the "happy couples" in Grey's Anatomy and the blossoming romances/relationships in Pan Am. And eventually some movies filled with romance, such as "Pride & Prejudice", "Moulin Rouge", "Love Actually" and so on.
Okay, so I'm 21, I'm still young. But some (short) take offs would be nice every now and then, and not just the fabulous adventures of being stranded, with piles of books in four different languages and the loss of a so-called life.
I can't be the only one in this situation. However, I have been in this situation for a while and would like to get out of it some time soon. Hopefully, I won't ever turn desperate, unless I already am...
